Dear Members,

I want to let you all know how honored and excited I am to be serving as your new CEO/Executive Director! While my entry into town on the weekend of the ill-fated Amgen Tour of Colorado Start and Finish was less than auspicious, it took nothing away from the incredible lake and mountains that I now call home.

During my first month here I plan to spend time with each of the board members, committees, and staff getting to know the nuts and bolts of the organization and understanding the strategic direction desired by the business leaders at the helm. What I have seen so far is a very passionate and committed group of people working very hard to improve the infrastructure, transportation, visitor services and marketing of this North Lake Tahoe region so that each of you can reap benefits in your business. From improved streetscapes, expanded bicycle trails, improved bus service, national and international marketing and sales, better parks, visitor centers, business education and networking events --- there’s an amazing team here working for you!

I strongly encourage you to give me a call or visit with me if you have ideas or feedback that will assist us in becoming the organization that will be most valuable to you and bring the greatest benefit to this area. I truly look forward to meeting you and seeing you on the trails this summer – biking, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding – I aim to try them all!
