Event: Snowbomb Big Air Competition at Alpine Meadows (Mar 20) Time: noon Check out some of the biggest air and sickest tricks in the area at the 2010 Big Air Competition held at Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, March 20. The Snowbomb team will stop at Alpine Meadows to wrap up the “Sick N’ Twisted Freestyle Tour” with a final competition for the area’s finest skiers and riders.
Huge air will take place on Dancefloor located in the Shreadows Terrain Park, and spectators are welcome. Event: Moonlight Snowshoe Tours at Northstar Resort (Mar 26) Time: 5pm The guided tours will begin at the Cross-Country Center at 5pm. Snowshoe rentals will be available for an additional cost. Participants will leave on a 6k guided tour where halfway through they’ll end up at a caboose to sit and enjoy a bonfire with s'mores, hot chocolate and live music before returning. The tour should take between 2 and 2 1/2 hours. Please note tours later in the season will leave during twilight but will return under the moonlit sky.
